Certified Ageing Place (C.A.P)

Certified Ageing Place is very important and affects so many people. When the elderly get to the point where it is hard to move around in their own home many think that they need to be moved to a nursing home. In many cases though the elderly can still live in their home with a few modification. Nobody wants to move from there home and if more people were aware of C.A.P the elderly could live safely in their home.
Here are a few things that C.A.P modifies in homes: Adding ramps, grab bars in bathrooms, extra lighting below cabinets and on stairways, installing showers that are more accessible, and slip resistant floors. Attached is a picture of a C.A.P. bathroom.
