Health Care Design Trends
Heather care has been moving to a more residential look in the last couple years. According to the article Five Note Worthy Trends in Healthcare Interior Design there has been some important steps that designers have been making to make patients and their families feel more comfortable in a health care setting. First they strive to make unique spaces and while doing so they want to make these unique spaces feel more like home. They want to give the space, "residential warmth" to make the patient more at ease. They also strive for an Eco-friendly design. They want to make it a place where there is natural lighting, fresh air, greenery, and interior gardens. They also strive to make the space patient friendly for example making the reception area "sophisticated and inviting". Next they meet the specific needs for lighting by making them adjustable so that it is adaptable for any need. Lastly they take the way color effects ones mood seriously and incorporate vibrant and warm colors to their spaces.
